I booked a small retirement party at Thunderbird and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The owner was so kind, easy to work with, flexible with budget, and offered great small appetizer suggestions. The general manager was also incredible on the day of the event. She was accommodating and we loved her energetic and bubbly personality. Overall a great experience and I’d highly recommend using Thunderbird for events!!
Always a good time at Thunderbird. The atmosphere and live music are great and it isnt usually overly crowded. Summers are the best for sitting outside by the river as they have a great outdoor area. The service is honestly some of the best in the area as well. All their servers are attentive and friendly and never rude or slow like many othe places. Food is good, but not mind blowing. My only request would be a bit larger or more diverse menu. Still highly recommend to anyone!
My first time there. The waitress asked for a credit card so I opened a tab. Had four beers and attempted to cash out. Since the bill was only around $20, I elected to pay cash. The following day I noticed that they took the cash payment and charged my card the same amount. They were closed Sunday and Monday and I haven't reached them to see if they'll correct the error I will hold off rating them until I see what happens.
Cool atmosphere. Food was pretty good and the service was exceptional. We were there on a Friday night and the band was lively. Place was packed, so we had to sit in the area past the main area. Outdoor area is pretty large, too.
Overall a good experience! There was a good draft selection and our waiter was pretty helpful. The food felt a little mid and took quite a long time to come out. Our server was sweet and very helpful though. There was also live music, and the band was awesome. They carried the evening for sure. They brought a great atmosphere and interacted well with the crowd. I noticed also there is an area that you can reserved for much larger groups. Would be perfect if you’re looking for a bar type spot to host a birthday at. There’s a large seating area outside too for during the warmer months of the year. TLDR The positives: Atmosphere and band were on it. Worth it for the great live music. Negatives/neutrals: Food was mid and service felt slow
Popped in here right as they opened and couldn’t have been happier with our service, I want to say our waitress amber (I think lol) was super nice. The food came out super fast (best part about beating the rush) we got the street corn dip and while it was good the pita chips are the star of the show here. The fried pickle chips were fried perfectly and the breading stayed in (rare for fried pickles). The fish and chips are a solid choice, the breading is a traditional dish breading so it’s pretty tasty. The chicken wrap is a chicken wrap nothing really stands out about it but it was also pretty good. I would definitely come back
Nice music and great stage! I’ve been here twice and both time the Thunderbird seems to secure pretty good live music. Both times the music was a combination of blues and older folk 70s type songs. I highly recommend they stay with this genre as it fits this place perfectly. We had some appetizers that were ok. The quality is good enough but the quantity of food in there appetizers seem to be a lot less than anticipated. I’ll come again for the atmosphere and drinks.
Really great food and great environment! We had Mac n cheese and the Italian grinder and both were a hit. The cheese bread appetizer and donut sundae were also great. Everything tasted fresh and well made. Our server was friendly and attentive, but also gave us space to enjoy our meal. We will definitely be back!
